The first thing you need to do before you can even leave the country is your passport and a visa. To get a visa you should first posses a passport.
Then find out if any vaccinations will be needed before you travel to that country. If you use medications, find out if they are considered legal there. Do not forget that you might not be covered for any medical emergency that may arise while traveling in that country.
Many health insurance policies do not extend beyond the borders of the country so you may require additional trip insurance to be adequately covered.
If you ever use your computer while traveling internationally you must make sure, you have the right equipment. Countries have their own voltage regulations thus electrical plugs or voltage converters may be required in order to plug in and safely use your computer.
